Why Photoroom’s AI visual solution for e‑commerce helps you sell

Handle scaling catalogs quickly

Photoroom is built specifically for managing e‑commerce product photography at scale. With batch editing, you can apply the same changes, branding, and styling choices across up to 250 photos at once on non-enterprise plans. Some of Magic Studio’s tools support batch editing, letting you apply changes to 50 images at a time. This feature depends on the specific tools and your plan.

Showcase products effectively

Photoroom helps you drive conversions with images that show your products in use. Ghost Mannequin and Virtual Model let you display wearable items as they’ll look when worn, while Flat Lay produces editorial-quality overhead shots. And with Product Staging, you can place products in lifelike scenes. Magic Studio offers background generation tools you can use for product staging, but they’re not designed for e‑commerce and don’t support ghost mannequin, virtual model, and flat lay workflows.

Build a full production pipeline

Photoroom’s API is designed for catalog-scale pipelines, with dedicated endpoints for background removal only or full image editing capabilities. The API Plus plan lets you automatically apply AI shadows, backgrounds, relighting, upscaling, and more, with a default 60-images-per-minute rate. Magic Studio offers two APIs focused on specific tools, magic eraser and background eraser, but it doesn’t provide an all-in-one editing API.
